RE: 2nd Annual BlackWebAwards.com
Official Winners list
Date: November 8, 2007
____________________________________________________________________________________________
Peace and Blessings,
It is with great pleasure and
humility that I offer to you the Official 2008 BlackWebAwards.com winners list.
In addition to the complete
list of winners, you will also find statistics regarding this year's BlackWebAwards.com voting and an invitation to participate in the "behind the scenes"
development of the 3rd Annual BlackWebAwards.
To review, the websites
listed below went through a six month competition. Each website was nominated by you, the Online
Community. These "at large nominees" are
then reviewed by the BlackWebAwards.com Academy of Judges, a volunteer group
from all walks of life. The Academy
reviews and grades the nominees against 10 categories. The categories include Website Navigation,
Cultural Relevance and Vibrancy. That
review results in a composite score (with 100 being perfect or excellent). The top five to seven sites in each category
are then recognized and announced as Official Nominees. They are then introduced to you, and you are
invited to Vote Your Love, and select the best in each of the 98 available
categories.
Accordingly, the websites
noted below reflect excellence, as determined by your initial nomination, our
internal review, and your final votes.
Each website has met the challenge of representing African, African
American and Caribbean excellence, Online.
On behalf of BlackWebAwards.com,
we extend our congratulations to all the Winners and Nominees; to the Online
Community, we say once again,
THANK YOU!! See you next year!!!
